Wow! You really had a great birthday. That water must have felt very refreshing on such a hot day. I hope your Daddy showed you your picture. We all like learning about you and your brother and new sister.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday little red head, Happy Birthday to you! (I hope that wasn't too loud?)
Neshama: I really appreciate the comments you left both on this posting and on the letter posting. And once again, I encourage you to start blogging! :)
I met one of the Haya's brothers through a founder of the One Family Fund. For those children and young adults, the shock waves of that bomb will resound forever, shattering their hearts over and over again.
Perhaps you would consider trying to share your note, and maybe these pictures with them.
Here's wishing to Hashem that your daughter sees many, many more happy birthdays.
Josh: Interesting. I have shared this letter with Steven Greenbaum who lost his wife in this bombing. Do you have a suggestion on how I might be able to share it with Haya's brother?
If you'd like to get in touch with chaya's family, you can try asking the onefamilyfund.org people. i'm sure they're quite busy now with all going on in israel, but they'd have contact info, or at least be able to foward the note.

Happy birthday to your daughter. I also wrote letters to my kids when they were born, but they pale in comparision to what you wrote.
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to A Simple Jewess, Jr.
And mazel tov to her lucky parents!
Thank you all :) I took the day off so I could go to her party this morning at a nearby park. The little red head is four years-old today.
