So cute! Look at all that hair! When does he turn 3?
He turns 3 on the 13th of Sivan :)
He has wanted to wear a yarmulke recently to keep all the hair out of his eyes.
Spiderman??
Very cute. Rebe Reb Zusha miAnipoli zy"o used to hide behind a stove in shul, where he could daven and spend time in hisboydedus undisturbed.
Anonymous: Yes, "Man" as he refers to him.
A Yid: Thanks, I have only figured out one reason why he goes behind this hideous 1960's couch in the basement, and I can't say it is as lofty as Rebbe Zusia of Anapol :)
Well, I can think of at least three reasons:
1) Kids love to make nests, often in odd locations. It's adventurous and, at the same time, a refuge (similar to the urge to climb a tree and then build a treehouse).
2) If you're trying to catch him (e.g., at bathtime or after some mischief), he knows you can't reach him there. It's a great hideaway!
3) Because it is there! :-)
My advice: don't stifle that sense of adventure! But maybe put a blanket over two kitchen chairs, turned back to back, so he can make a private playhouse.
You forgot a reason....to fill his diaper ;)
