I decided to get to minyan in the mornings 5 minutes earlier, so I don't rush putting on my tefillin.
Also, we started reading from R Zelig Pliskin's book THE POWER OF WORDS at each Shabbos meal, since my kids have the impression that words are good weapons.
I'm trying to do the Kitzur Likutey Moharan day by day, according to the schedule printed inside, and to try and life more faithfully to the teachings of Rebbenu Nachman.
I've been trying to keep away from Jewish blogs and web sites that consistently put out religiously objectionable ideas because of an agenda. Sending comments to them does no good.
What did you take on ASJ?
ReplyDeleteReader: I resolved to shlep myself out to minyan for Maariv one more time a week than I normally do.
ReplyDeleteYou mean 5771?
ReplyDeleteI resolved to get married.

ReplyDeleteASJ what's the background to your commitment, do you live very far from the shul?
ReplyDeleteNo. I live very close and hence I don't ever have a good excuse to be lazy.
