You have quite an eye. That is a beautiful painting; love the orange against the blue.

I tried to do some research on Rhode Axel; his real name seems to be Meir Axelrod. It seems like he never left the (former) Soviet Union, though this painting seems to be called 'Golan'. So is this about the desire to be in Eretz Yisrael?
