Behind Our Wall

Excerpt from Journey to Jerusalem:

During the fourth day of his stay, he arrived at the home of the Saba Kadisha and he asked that no one else should enter the house, for he wished to speak with the Saba Kadisha privately. From outside, however, the chassidim overheard the two tzaddikim discussing the redemption.

The Rebbe asked, "When will Mashiach arrive?"

The Saba Kadisha turned around and motioned to the wall, and answered, "Behold, he is standing behind our wall!"

"Why is he standing behind our wall, rather than coming inside?" the Rebbe asked.

"Because the evil people in the generation are standing in the doorway and not allowing him in," the Saba Kadisha replied.

In a voice choked with tears the Rebbe asked, "Am I one of those who are delaying him?"

I still don't get why Artscroll published this. It's so not up their alley.

Wow. You have to look hard to find such an anav.

Anyway, who was the Saba Kadisha?

I dont get why Artscroll published this either. I guess it will just sit on the shelf next to the twenty plus other books they have published on Chassidic Rebbes.

Not Lubavitch Biographies yet though.

Sounds like a really nice read if you have time for these types of Books.

Menashe,
Use the link in the article, which will send you to the Artscroll listing. It identifies the Saba Kadisha ZT"L.

Menashe-

Why would Artscroll invest money in publishing Lubavitch seforim, stories, or anything when the largest, or top 3 largest Jewish printing press is Lubavitch?

Its like asking why Kehot doesnt publish stories about anyone besides the Baal Shem Tov, Maggid, and Chabad Rebbonim.
