Need
People bemoan the fact that they are “needy”. They need this! They need that! And yet they recite the blessing every morning: "Blessed are You, Hashem, our G-d, King of the Universe, Who has provided me with my every need." This means very clearly that whatever I need, G-d provides; and if G-d hasn’t provided it, it’s a clear sign that I really don’t need it!
(Steipler Gaon)

The continuing confusion most people have with what they 'need' and what they 'want.' Many times people will say I need (Fill in the blank) and what they really mean is I want (Fill in the blank). This time of the year makes this an even more confusing difference for many people.

Simple, you don't have to quote the Steipler for that one. It's a basis of Yidishe Hashkafah. Enuna and bitochon. Check up Chinuch on Nekomo and Jealousy. If it would be good for me, God would give it to me. Period.
