Only by example

If you perceive darkness around you it is futile to point it out to others, to tell it to go away, or to tell the darkness to stop being dark.

You must become a source of illumination yourself.

Only this will drive away the darkness.

Beautifully put, SJ. As Gandhi once said, each of us must be the change we wish to see in the world.

excellent asj!!

i'd say "be the mitzvah!"

uh, gandhi had many good points indeed, but was terribly wrong about advising the jews to be nonviolent in europe in ww2...
many jews today suffer from indoctrination from that other "religion" about peace and nonviolence. the idea is much deeper and more profound. look at david hamelech in 120, "i am peace, but they are for war".
