More Thoughts On Blogging

It continues to fascinate me that people all over the world can relate to the daily thoughts that float between my ears. I talk to my wife about my blog and the comments and feedback I receive. Last night I jokingly told her, "You never knew how interesting your husband really was!". She smiled.

I have noticed that 75% of the comments I receive come from women. It is an interesting phenomenon. I am not sure if I understand the reason for this.

The reason for this -- I think -- is because women are more passionate about ideas, more emotional, more open with their feelings and thoughts. If you touch a nerve or spark an idea with your words, they'll let you know...this woman included! :)

Maybe I phrased it incorrectly; of course, passion is not limited to gender, but being passionate about something is tied in to emotions. And women, with their emotions, their willingness to share what they're feeling and thinking, will express that passion freely. (THINK: WOMEN'S RIGHTS MOVEMENTS OVER THE YEARS -- the women are passionate about a cause/an idea, and become vocal and take on an active role)

Yeah, I'm with toronto pearl on this one. I blogged about it a coupla weeks ago. Women are just more emotional, men more intellectual, in general. It's the difference between the sdarim in yeshiva and the hashkafa classes in a BY. They're just different ways to appeal to different types of people.

(Yes, yes, not everybody fits the mold...)

I'm wondering the same thing. A lot of my blogger friends have found it necessary to link/quote this blog and the reason remains a mystery to me. I've looked it over (barely skimmed) to see if any explosive ideas pop out of the page, but nothing earthshattering as of yet. Of course, just because I haven't seen it yet, doesn't mean it might not be there. I suppose I'll check back at least once or twice more.
