Hadran - Plowing In The Winter
Over the weekend, I finished learning Maseches Sukka and today I began Maseches Megillah.
...and this posting is still as applicable now as it was back in November.
I just need to keep reminding myself of Yosef's insightful comment, "The first time through is always the hardest, 'plowing the soil'. The fruit comes from review, when it all fits together and becomes clear in your mind."

An interesting tidbit: In Maseches Megilla the Gemora quotes Megillas Esther 127 times (as in the 127 nations ruled by Achashveirosh)!

I wonder how anyone ever figured that out and what prompted them to keep count.
I once tried to keep record of how many times the Baal Shem Tov is quoted in Degel Machaneh Ephraim. I got up to 125 at the end of Parshas Metzora and then stopped counting....
