The Brilliance Of The Feminine Mind

One day when my wife went to pick up our three year-old daughter from nursery school, she witnessed another little three year-old girl run over and aggressively push a little boy onto the floor. Hearing the little boy's crying, the teacher instantly turned around and asked the little girl what happened.

Without hesitation, the little girl shrugged her shoulders and sweetly replied, "I think he misses his mommy."

...and the teacher believed her.

Methinks your title may put some readers off. Perhaps it'd be better to call it, "The Brilliance of a Child's Mind"?

Just a friendly suggestion from Yerushalayim :)

Yitz: I appreciate your friendly suggestion, however those who read my blog on a regular basis will know that it was not intended to be a "sexist comment". Rather it is a nod to the fact that females are often much smarter than males at a very early age.

Wow, the straight-forward philosophy of a little three year old - anyone who cries misses his/her mother! I wonder what he did to her to get her so riled up?

Neshama: He didn't do anything. It was an unprovoked act of agression and the little girl's words were the "cover story"

On the other hand, maybe that was a projection of the little girl that did the pushing (she missed her Mommy and felt "pushed away"?). What three year old wants to be away from her mom? I bet that little guy was missing his mommy at that moment too.

That the teacher was used to kids crying from missing mommy is another statement all of its own. There's nothing better for a very young child than to be with his or her mother most of the time.

Anyway, Simple Jew, nice blog. All the best!

the problem is the girl was unusually mean, crafty and cruel. it is not necessarily a feminine attribute.
