Eight Minutes Apart

(Yom Yerushalayim photograph courtesy of Point of Pinchas)

Yesterday when I was still at work, I received an e-mail from my wife asking me from if I wanted to go out for dinner and get a deep dish pizza with pineapple. I immediately agreed, and had no idea then that later when we would be driving to the pizza shop that my wife would start having contractions.

At that time the contractions were very mild and about 25 minutes apart. Now, at 4:25 am they are getting stronger and are about 8 to 10 minutes apart. Needless to say, I will be leaving for the hospital fairly soon.

I will report back once there is any news....

--

FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPDATE: The contractions subsided and the doctor sent us home. Perhaps true labor will start later this weekend...

SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE: No new news. Waiting for something "imminent" day after day is truly a lesson in bitachon.

Uncle Yitz is waiting with bated breath...hope I hear about it before Shabbos comes here in a few more hours...
WOW - A Yom Yerushalayim baby! It's also Shmuel HaNavi's yahrzeit today, whose Kever was returned to us on his yahrzeit in 5727 [1967]!

May we hear good news!!!!!

The suspense! ASJ, please update us, I can't wait to hear the good news.

Yitz - has anyone ever named a baby Yerushalayim yet?
I knew someone who named his daughter Yisraela because she was born on this day... And a Bobover I know, proposes the name Ben-Zion for a boy ;-)

I bet it will be a Shavuos baby, davka when the Torah was given!
This would be apropos for all your efforts on behalf of your tzadik, Degel Machaneh Ephraim.

CE: Haven't heard that name yet, but who knows? I was actually pulling for Shmuel, if you caught my hint! [And if you add the name Eliyahu to it, you get the previous Modzitzer Rebbe's name! :)) ]

ASJ: May it come in the right time & everyone should be healthy, that's what counts!

This is normal, especially with third plus babies. Doesn't make it any easier but it is normal. I had the same experience. ::sigh:: Go on some nice walks and encourage your beloved to do some hitbodedut which will help her to relax. All in Abba's perfect time.

Thanks for the update. The lesson is in savlanus [patience] AS WELL AS in bitachon.

B'Sha'ah tova, whenever it comes!

Frum Philly Farmgirl: Great advice. Thanks for checking in again.

Shoshana: G-d willing I will have something to report again, sooner than later. While I have the day off work tomorrow for Memorial Day, I am refusing to let my mind entertain the idea about Tuesday when I would technically need to go back to work.

And If Not Now, When?: It is nice to have friends like you out there in the Blogoshere :)

Yitz: You are 100% correct. Savlanus is not something that comes easily to me. I usually joke, "I have no time for patience!"

Anonymous: Indeed that is a great name ;)
