Truly Alive

The time in which one recalls the purpose of his life is the time in which he is truly alive (other than the time in which he is learning Torah, as will be explained later, with the help of Hashem). The rest of the time, in which he is engaged in other things without remembering the Creator, he is as if dead. One must revive himself from this death at all times, a revival in which he will remember why he lives and what his purpose is in this world.
