The Fine Line

In wording our prayers, there is a fine line between an appropriate complaint about the bitter lot of Israel, and an audacious affront to Heaven. Even the Sages of the Talmud were punished for overstepping their bounds. One must implement refinement and foresight in order to distinguish between a war of prayer and an affront to Heaven. Therefore, those who wage these wars take a dangerous risk, placing their very lives in peril.
