Well, she paints a vivid picture of the different and colorful personalities. She's writes well and gives it to you as she sees it (no whitewash job). If you ever had any curiosity about Brisk and the Lita, it's gevaldig.
Of course, since I admire the Soloveitchiks, I was included to like it as long as it was interesting and honest. The many stories of the Netziv, Beis Halevi, R' Chaim Brisker, R' Moshe, R' Elye Feinstein, etc, really are delightful.
