Undermined

We must be aware that our chances of successfully educating our children are seriously undermined when the father is so busy and preoccupied that he has neither the time nor the disposition to give his child the proper attention nor provide him with the emotional and intellectual needs he is obligated to give him.

Even more problematic is when the mother must work out of the home and is unable to dedicate the proper attention, authentic love, and emotional warmth to her child. Such a situation is disastrous for children's education and is likely to cause them to grow up spiritually and emotionally impaired.
