Eizer L'Shabbos - Emergency Campaign For Shavuos

After helping hundreds of families for Pesach and Lag B'Omer, Eizer L'Shabbos now finds itself in an extremely desperate financial situation - even more desparate then during the last Lebanon war when missiles fell on Tsfat. Banks and grocery stores that once lent him money have now said they can no longer extend Rabbi Binyomin Rosenberg further credit. While numerous rabbonim have advised Rabbi Rosenberg from going into further debt, he still feels compelled to do absolutely everything possible to help those people who are in true need.

Quite simply, if we don't do our part by sending tzedakah, Eizer L'Shabbos will not be able to provide the needy families of Tsfat with the barest of necessities they need for yom tov.

Kitzur Shulchan Aruch 103:9 states, "He who locks the doors of his courtyard and eats and drinks with his wife and children and does not give food and drink to the poor and unhappy souls, is not rejoicing in a mitzvah, but rejoicing in his gluttony."

As we approach Shavuos, let's ensure that our simchas yom tov is a true simchas yom tov.
