When The World Stops Spinning

Most of us are surrounded with people every waking moment of the day and long for a time when we could have just a little time alone. In our minds, we imagine that we need a day, a week, two weeks, or a month of such alone time before we would be ready to return to the our spinning daily lives.

Yet, there are occasions that we actually get what we wish for and the world slows down, we have an opportunity to catch our breath, and we actually get our fill of alone time; less time than we thought we needed, but more than sufficient nevertheless.

At this point, we realize how empty our lives are without the people that fill our days. We appreciate that we were not meant to live the life of a recluse. We understand that solitude sometimes must be sought while swimming in the sea of humanity.

This is one of the reasons that Adam HaRishon was ultimately not left alone in the world.

Beautiful post.
