Is there a specific method to learn Sippurey Ma’asiyos (Rebbe Nachman’s Stories)?

Great question and I'm curious about the responses. 6 years ago I went through the first edition in English (yellow cover with block cut prints as pictures). The copy is old and based on a typewritten manuscript.

I've been thinking, actually, that since I have a nice chuck of time now since the clocks have changed, that on Shabbos nights I should start going through the BRI Rav Aryeh Kaplan zt'l edition.

Besides learning existing classic commentaries I didn't hear about specific "methods". You often get random insights while learning them, so it's always exciting.

connect yourself to Rebbe Nachman, then read, then ask Hashem to open the gates of understanding for you, i.e. as Rabbenu teaches: torah, tefffila, torah.
ashreinu she yesh lanu Rebbe keze
