They Are In For A Surprise
Both my daughter and my son will be psyched when they learn that I just got concert tickets for one of their favorite performers. The November tickets are not for a concert of Yosef Karduner or Simply Tsfat, but rather for a man with a large letter Mem on his black hat.
...and to think, the last concert I went to was B.B. King in 1997.

Hey, I don't think I've heard BB King since about 19...77! He used to be one of my favorite guitarists...
Anyway, I'm not familiar with Uncle Moishy but Karduner & Simply Tzfat aren't bad. They're probably both in or on their way to Uman, where my son, as well, is.
Your Kotzker quote is GREAT...You may see it on my site, too, soon - but of course you will be fully credited.
Glad to see you still have what to post [as you mentioned]. Kol tuv, yitz
Yitz: Are you a Breslover as well?
I am glad you liked the Kotzker quote. I plan to post other music quotes in coming weeks.
More on Uncle Moishy can be found over at Akiva's blog here:

No, SJ, sorry to disappoint you. If you look closely at my blog, you'll probably be able to figure. I've been close to the Modzitzer Rebbe Shlita for some time now. My son has recently gotten involoved with Breslov.
To round things off, I am a fan of both Reb Shlomo Carlebach and the Twerski Family of Denver & Milwaukee. As Reb Shlomo used to say, "Everybody has to have two Rebbes: his own and Rebbe Nachman."
Contrary to B.B. King playing and singing, "The Thrill Is Gone" (I know his music, too), I think your kiddies will be singing a slightly different tune...about a thrill arriving -- along with Uncle Moishy!
SJ,
LOL - The wording of your posts is always great.
I still remember going to Uncle Moishy concerts as a younger fellow myself. Who'd-a-thunk he'd still be doing 'em 25 odd yeard later...
I recorded 2 albums for R. Michel Twerski.
